MX/102969 John Henry Percy Nye, born Littlehampton, Sussex; enlisted in the Royal Navy March 1942; took part in the D-Day Landings 6.6.1944.
He was killed in action 8.6.1944 when the landing craft in which he was serving (H.M.L.C.T. 390) was torpedoed of the Normandy Coast, and is commemorated on Plymouth Naval Memorial
