Private Richard Tate O'Connell, of Richmond, Victoria, Australia; served with the 37th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force during the Great War. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 12 October 1917, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
